Holocaust and Human Behavior – Down the rabbit hole in 2023

You unlock this door with the golden key. Beyond it is another dimension – a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind, a dimension of energy. You’re moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas, unlimited possibilities, a long hallway of locked doors. You are now looking into another universe. Multiple universes. They are just as real as the one you live in except different choices create different universes.

This one begins with a textbook called Holocaust and Human Behavior by Facing History and Ourselves.

I am fascinated by how this book starts. It is nothing like I was expecting, which, in retrospect is likely the point. In fact, the “story” about “stories” point out that we know nothing until we know all the stories.

From “The Bear that Wasn’t” to insights from Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie to names that “identify” and on to the Twilight Zone (literally), I discovered that the 1st Chapter readings were thought provoking and relatable.

As I begin my personal exploration, I find that the topics in this book are modern and insightful. I bought this book because I wanted to learn why people behaved and thought the way they did during the pandemic, but I think this introspective journey is going to take me a lot further down the rabbit hole. This is my personal journey. My “story” if you will.

You are welcome to join me. If you REALLY want to join me, you can get a free PDF copy from the link above to Facing History and Ourselves and search for Holocaust and Human Behavior, otherwise, you can read my insights and follow along with quotes that I may share and my thoughts.

My original goal was to teach not to learn, although I hoped to learn, but the synchronicity that I have discovered makes me realize that this journey is personal, that I will learn a lot myself, likely more than anyone, yet I shall blog my journey because I may wish to revisit it someday.
Or perhaps, someone else will join me on this journey and we can explore our “stories” together.
