How could I have been so stupid?

Feb 22, 2007

Looking back, I wonder how I could have done this or that and what the hell was I thinking?

Contemplating this, I realize that I learned something from the experience which should prevent me from making the same mistake ever again. The information that we have attained in the past colors our present and we think differently.

Each experience builds our character, “what didn’t kill me, only made me stronger”.

Our experiences become our guide, and when we look back and wonder, it’s because we have learned and are moving forward. By thinking this way, we will find peace with our past and our experiences. We should not dwell upon our past, but tuck the things we learned away and remember them only if life demands an answer to a similar situation.

Instead, we can create a new reality with who we have become since then and just be glad that we have had the experience but that we never have to go through it again.

Just remember, there will always be mistakes and there will always be regrets, but as long as we learn from them, then it is simply another step in the process of life. We must not hide away to prevent situations from happening; we are here to learn and to grow, and if we stop taking risks, we will not move forward, spiritually or in life.

Learn and move on.
