This is how I introduced myself in the Sitecore Symposium 2020
I’ve been working with Sitecore since 2011 and coding in C# for all but the first 3 years of my career.
I am a Whovian and my desk (both in the office and while WFH) is full of Sonic Screwdrivers that really don’t fix my code no matter how fresh the batteries are. My hubby built my desk and now I don’t think I ever want to work in an office ever again! *grin*
I’m a geek who loves all things sci-fi/fantasy and although I like to hike when the weather is nice, I am just as happy to curl up next to a fire with a good book during the winter. I have a son in college who was doing fantastic until this mess started and now he’s looking at getting a job until classes resume in person. He was a junior in Engineering. He’s always wanted to build robots, ever since he was a kid. A techie: like mother, like son! (Except I thrive in virtual environments and I write code, he thrives in person and prefers hands-on)
Soon, we will hopefully be upgrading to Sitecore 10. I’m really excited about this and hope to get a lot of help and make some connections to make the upgrade easier. Naturally, nothing we have done is “out of the box”. We’re currently on Version 8.2 and I am terrified of the upgrade, especially the dynamic placeholders that are on template on our site.
