There has only ever been one Doctor-Lite episode I’ve ever liked. Blink.

This particular one failed miserably.

Especially since we are getting fewer and fewer episodes each season and the whole thing hangs in the balance with the future in doubt.

To make matters worse, this failed on multiple levels.

This only proved what losers UNIT is recently, not how they are capable. They failed to recognize a problem, they failed to research the people who apply for jobs, they completely failed to recognize a threat. They failed to be the way they were with Captain Jack.

We also now know that Mrs. Flood is not a good guy. I thought she might have been like a watcher or something but she just released the ass who broke Ruby’s heart. What?? Why?? This better be a REALLY good story arc.

And Ruby. She made this choice. Why has she become so whiny about it???

This is why Ishildr created a support group. Let’s have more of that for folks like Ruby, except once again, it was Ruby’s choice. That’s another tangent of mine. I once read that the companions are there to make things relatable to the people at home watching.

None of us would ever want to STOP traveling with the Doctor so they certainly failed on that count too.
