Pick a photo prompt & write about it – lighthouse shape made entirely of fire and flames

This blog post idea was kinda weird. I think a lot of us took it in different ways. I had no idea what to do but then, being into AI Art as much as I am, I found a recent prompt fail and decided to write about it.

Using NightCafe, I gave the prompt lighthouse shape made entirely of fire and flames using the Flux Model. What I envisioned was this really cool light house shape with flames and fire as an outline.  I mean, here’s a really cool spaceship made of flames. But no, mine didn’t. Mine actually became a lighthouse on fire.

This is my random photo and here is the story. (With help from AI and Gemini)

The lighthouse stood sentinel, its weathered form a stark contrast against the tempestuous sea. For decades, it had guided ships through the treacherous waters, its beacon a steadfast promise of safety. But times had changed. The ships now had radar, their courses charted by satellites. The lighthouse was obsolete, a relic of a bygone era.

The keeper, an old man named Elias, was the last of his kind. He had spent his life tending to the lighthouse, his days filled with the rhythmic routine of winding the clockwork mechanism and trimming the lamp’s wick. Now, the automation had taken over, leaving him with nothing to do but watch the endless expanse of the ocean.

As the final days approached, a strange sense of peace washed over Elias. He had accepted his fate, knowing that all things must come to an end. He spent his time wandering the desolate island, collecting driftwood and listening to the mournful cries of the seagulls.

One stormy night, a violent tempest raged outside. The wind howled, and the waves crashed against the shore with thunderous force. Elias sat by the window, a wry smile playing on his lips. He knew that this was the end, the final curtain call for the lighthouse and himself.

As the storm reached its peak, a surge of power struck the island, plunging it into darkness. The storm itself disabled the GPS and radars on the ships passing nearby.  Lightning struck the lighthouse and it caught fire. It was old so the lighthouse went up in flames quickly, but there was enough light from the fire to save the nearby ships.

A fitting farewell for the old lighthouse and his keeper.

The end.
